I love this idea that anticipation can become a memory just as meaningful as the thing you were waiting for. So much of life is spent believing we’re in the “before.” Before the trip. Before the promotion. Before the baby. Before retirement. Yet when we look back, those ordinary in-between seasons often become some of the most cherished chapters of our lives. That final thought really stayed with me: there is no waiting, only living. It’s a beautiful reminder that life isn’t something that begins after the next milestone. It’s already happening.

Relatable. I also studied in Florence for a year at 19 and also loved that song. And yes it takes me back.
